ADSP-CM403F UART communication

Question

I'm using ADSP-CM403F UART port to communicate with AM3352BZCZD30 (TI Sitara Processor). The UART pins of CM403F (RX,TX,RTS,CTS) are directly connected to (TX,RX,CTS,RTS) pins of AM3352BZCZD30. I'm unable to communicate with the ports. I think the problem is due to no transceivers used between the 2 UART ports. Please help me in resolving the issue.
