I'm using the latest release of u-boot and the latest release of Tera Term and I notice that "loady" command stalls frequently after 1-2 packets sent via YMODEM.  If I try several times to send the file, it will finally get back 2 packets.  It seems that once it gets past 2 packets, it will finish the upload. I have experimented with 115200 and 57600 baud and get the same test results.

Is this an issue with u-boot?  or with Tera Term?  Is anyone getting good test results with a different terminal program?

BTW: I am using loady because my board uses BF524 which does not have ethernet.  But I have experimented with the BF526-EZBRD and get the same test results.

I meant to say "If I try several times to send the file, it will finally get past 2 packets."

it's "normal" behavior for the first packet or two to timeout.  but the connection should pick up after that.  probably due to the loady command expecting data immediately, but doesnt get it as the user is navigating the gui to try and find the ymodem command and the file to send.

Unfortunately, it very seldomly resumes the transfer after it gets stuck on the second packet.  It sits for 1-2 minutes and then aborts the transfer.

Here is the output I get:

bfin> loady

## Ready for binary (ymodem) download to 0x00100000 at 115200 bps...

CCCCCCCCxyzModem - CRC mode, 0(SOH)/1(STX)/0(CAN) packets, 22 retries

## Total Size      = 0x00000000 = 0 Bytes

I'm curious if anyone has better experience with software other than Tera Term.

if you're using tera term, you might want to try using kermit instead.  ive never had a problem with loady and minicom.
