here I want to consult whether it is feasible to compile U-BOOT project in windows only with blackfin-toolchain-win32-2008R1.5.exe.

Actually I installed the toolchain, downloaded U-BOOT package u-boot-1.1.6-2008R1.5.tar.bz2 and unpacked it

with winRAR to the folder u-boot-1.1.6.

firstly I went to "examples" directory together with blackfin-toolchain and run "make" in bf537-stamp, the result was

Okay.

but when went to u-boot-1.1.6 and run "make bf527-ezkit_config"

erro messages were shown:

"uname" can not be recognized.

process_begin: CreateProcess<> failed

make <e=2>: can not find the specific files

make: ***[unconfig] Error 2.

I am not sure whether something are neglected or U-BOOT can not be compiled this way.

thanks in advance for any info. and help.

Windows is not supported as a build host.  install Linux or use coLinux.
