I'm currently having trouble getting the BF527 board to boot from SPI Flash. I booted U-Boot via UART to load the SPI version of U-Boot. In "include/configs/bf527-ezkit.h", I have "#define CONFIG_BFIN_BOOT_MODE BFIN_BOOT_SPI_MASTER" defined.

When I attempt to save the new U-Boot, these are the steps I'm taking:

loadb (then I send u-boot.ldr over using kermit at memory addres 0x1000000)

sf probe 1

sf write 0x1000000 0x0 $(filesize)

(then I set SW2 to option 3)

When I reset the board, I can't seem to get a U-Boot prompt. Nothing displays. Any help?

did you 'sf erase' first ?  when you changed the boot mode option, did you `make clean` ?

And did you switch to the SPI boot mode on board before reset?

I could never get the SPI flash booting to work. Instead, I just updated the parrallel flash.
