Hi,

I am using ldr-viewer to load the .ldr file.I am using bf527 EZkit. My boot mode is set to UART 1 sw2 is 8. I dowloaded u-boot-bf527-ezkit-uart-2008R1.5.ldr. I followed the steps given in blackfin docs.

1)Test port- shows port is ready.

2)Autobaud- shows blackfin replied correctly.

3)send .dxe- after some minutes the processing payload shows done but I get very few bytes in the output window.

4)closing ldr viewer and starting terminal program-u-boot doesn't come up.

Where can i be going wrong? Please assist.Attaching a screenshot when send dxe is done.

Thanks

Abhri

Hi Mike,

I used the ldr-util already in the blackfin toolchain. Here's what happens.

Loading LDR /home/abhrajit/u-boot-bf527-ezkit-uart-2008R1.5.ldr ... OK!

Removing stale lock '//var/lock/LCK..ttyS0'

Opening /dev/ttyS0 ... OK!

Configuring terminal I/O ... OK!

Trying to send autobaud ... OK!

Trying to read autobaud ... OK!

Checking autobaud ... OK!

Autobaud result: 115200bps 265.420mhz (header:0xBF DLL:0x90 DLH:0x00 fin:0x00)

Sending blocks of DXE 1 ... [1/10] (10%) [2/10] (20%) [3/10] (30%) [4/10] (40%) [5/10] (50%) [6/10] (60%) [7/10] (70%) [8/10] (80%) [9/10] (90%) [10/10] (100%) OK!

You may want to run minicom or kermit now

Quick tip: run 'ldr <ldr> <tty> && minicom'

Everything seems to go fine. But when we open minicom u-boot doesn't come up.

Any hints on what's going wrong?

Regards,

Abhri

you might also want to try running at a lower baud rate like 57600 ... ive seen the bf52x screw up with 115200
