Hi!!

I tried to load my u-boot on my DSP533 EZKIT Lite platform using VDSP5.0++ and the ADZS-HPUSB-ICE JTAG..

I used the Flash programmer tools to load the Flash driver and after than i tried to program uboot.hex on the flash memory.. I reset my board but it doesn't work :s (I also tried to use both of uboot.ldr and uboot.bi but I had the same result).

Can you help me please to found a solution to load my uboot using HPUSB-ICE JTAG..

With my best regards.

-Aymen

If you are using VDSP - the best place to go is blackfin.org, or http://www.analog.com/en/embedded-processing-dsp/technical-support/content/index.html

I'm using visualDSP because the ADZS-HPUSB-ICE JTAG is not supported by the open source project.

I need to load uBoot on to my platform.. That's what I'm looking for.

you should first use the precompiled release binaries before attempting to build it yourself

those are known to work fine

what cpu version is on your ezkit ?

Mike,

Please just to be sure : can you tell me how to flash the board with the VDSP using the HPUSB-ICE JTAG!!

For my case, I tried first to load the BF533EzFlashDriver.dxe using the flash programmer. After than, I programmed my BF533 board with an Intel Hex file..

Can you tell me if it's the right procedure??

Thanks

Aymen:

The way to load things into a 533 with with the open source JTAG which is supported:

http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=hw:jtag#using_jtag_with_linux

Anything else is not supported - and we can't answer questions on it. Go to the place of purchase for help.

Thanks for helping me..

I tried with an ADSP-BF533 EZKIT Lite rev 2.1 equipped with a CPU silicon's version 0.5. A succeded the uBoot's upload using ICE JTAG and VDSP++..

Now, I'm trying to load the Kernel using the serial connection. So i proceeded by executing "loadb" command, after than I sent the "Linux.dxe" file.. (It takes about 30minutes to load the file).

But, I have the following error when I execute "go 0x1000000"  :
