I have an bf533 ezkit which I am trying to load u-boot for the first time using jtag.  I have board version 1.7 and blackfin version 0.4.  I'm using gnICE.

I'm following the procedure on:

http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=bootloaders:u-boot:debugging#jtag_loading

After loading init.elf, I get the following message which seems to indicate that the code in reset.c is not executing fully.

Program received signal SIGTRAP, Trace/breakpoint trap.

bfin_reset () at reset.c:30

30        __builtin_bfin_ssync();

The board appears to function with a default program already in flash which toggles the leds.

Any ideas why it might be hanging here?

Thanks.

I did get it to work!  But I had to do the following from gdb:

load init.elf

c

load u-boot

step

c
