Hi,

I have been trying to make the latest trunk of the toolchain and u-boot work on my bluetechnix CM-BF537E board, but I cannot seem to get it to work.

I compiled the latest toolchain and u-boot tried to load the u-boot.ldr file onto the module. Both with ldr-utils and ldrviewer. I can communicate with the board OK. That is, the autobaud is working properly, and the program sends the blocks. However, after this, i see nothing

Autobaud result: 115200bps 49.766mhz (header:0xBF DLL:0x1B DLH:0x00 fin:0x00)

Sending blocks of DXE 1 ... OK!

You may want to run minicom or kermit now

Quick tip: run 'ldr <ldr> <tty> && minicom'

I have tried to upload a BlackSHEEP environment to the board using ldrviewer, and it works fine. I can then use the BlackSHEEP to upload the u-boot.hex file I just compiled, and that works. So I do not expect it to be a problem with the u-boot binary or the core module itself.

Another weird thing is, that only ldrviewer accepts the BlackSHEEP ldr file, ldr-utils does not.

Cheers,

  Nikolaj Fogh

Update:

I just tried to use ldr-utils to upload the 2008R1.5 version of u-boot for the cm-bf537e board.

https://blackfin.uclinux.org/gf/download/frsrelease/395/4878/u-boot-cm-bf537e-uart-2008R1.5.ldr

And it works. So, ldr is apparently working.

Disregard this thread. I have got it working now. Apparently I got confused when mixing around bin and ldr files along with u-boot config options
