Hi,

I am using ADSP-BF527-EZ-LITE-KIT 1.5. I have accidentally corrupted u-boot in the device. I have loaded new u-boot using VDSP and now I'm getting the default images in MODE 1. The swith settings are as follows

SW1(ETH enable):          OFF, OFF, ON,  OFF

    SW2(boot mode):          POSITION 1

SW4(MIC gain):          ON,  OFF, OFF, OFF

SW5(Keypad LCD enable):      ON,  ON,  OFF, ON

    SW7(Flash enable):          ALL ON

SW8(MIC/HP LPBK):          ON,  OFF, OFF, OFF

SW9(ETH mode flash CS):      OFF, OFF, OFF, ON

SW10(UART enable):         OFF, ON,  OFF, ON

    SW11(ROTARY NAND enable):     ALL ON

SW13(GPIO enable):         ON,  ON,  OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF

    SW17:                ON,  ON

    SW18:                ON,  OFF

    SW19:                ON,  OFF, ON,  OFF

    SW20:                ON,  ON,  ON,  ON

I am using u-boot-bf527-ezkit-uart-2008R1.5.ldr downloaded from this site.  While clicking 'Auto baud' (after pressing reset button) in ldrviewer I'm getting an error 'Timeout. Check BMODE pins and reset processor before trying again'.

I tried with SW10 options On, On, On, Off and On, On, On, On also.

I've read the document http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=bootloaders:u-boot:loading#troubleshooting but I couldn't find out the problem.

Please help me in resolving this issue.

Thanks,

Maha

We don't use/support VDSP here, so we can't tell you if you are doing something wrong on that side.

Try loading from the UART with the bfin-*-ldr tools.

Hi,

While using ldr linux application it shows the following error :

"Trying to read autobaud ... ldr: received signal 14: timeout while sending; aborting"

And in LdrViewer the error showed as:

         "CTS not ready".

The BootMode selected is SW2 - mode 8 (UART1).

and switch setting for  SW10 - off on off on.

The serial cable  using is working fine with the BF-548.

I referred the Troubleshooting section of the link:

http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=bootloaders:u-boot:loading

Inorder to check the device, did the POST test by bursting the post.ldr to the Parallel Flash (using Visual DSP + OTG cable). It run the POST program in bootmode-1. But the UART Autobaud test program did not showing the expected result.
