Hi,

Hi I am working with u-boot version 1.1.6 2007 R1. Custom board Bf533. Boot Mode Pins are connected to " 00 "

I am calculating the time elapsed when the control enters into the "do_bootm" function.

I am calculating the time using the cycle counter register values. using the following function.

static inline unsigned int read_time(void)

{

        union {

                struct {

                        unsigned lo;

                        unsigned hi;

                } p;

                unsigned int c;

        } t;

        asm volatile ("%0=cycles; %1=cycles2;" : "=d" (t.p.lo), "=d" (t.p.hi));

        return t.c;

}

for calculating the cycles elapsed.

I could see that the values are not consistent everytime when I Power On the Board.

I am attaching the details of the cycle counter values attached. I am assuming that the cycle counter register values starts from Zero @ every instance when I Power On the Board.

It is varying for me from   0x 32cfeb4c -- 0x 4127fab3

Please look into the attachment at every instance of the statement.

for eg.,   Booting Time########################## = 0x 32cfeb4c

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and is i am doing anything wrong?  Please provide your suggestions and comments.

Best Regards, Sreedhar.

Sreedhar:

This was a bug that was fixed (syncing with the RTC was messed up) - upgrade to 2008R1.
