Switches should be set as per:

https://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=hw:boards:bf537-stamp

which uboot.bin are you using? one from here (from the frs section?) or compiled yourself?

>loading uboot.bin to the target through flash programming

I don't know what that means. Please load things up via the UART.

Thanks for your help, the switches are set as your said :

https://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=hw:boards:bf537-stamp

it always shows recongnized code, but i use bf537-ezkit,and set some swtiches, now the uboot can shows nomonally, but it comes out another question, that is i cannot use the uboot command,it loads the uImage directly!

when it shows "Hit any key to stop  autoboot 5",and i hit ,it havn't effect ,and it load uImage ! why? i cannot load uImage through the uboot command!

And when it load uImage, i have set up the TFTP server,no DHCP server, and i connect the bf537-ezkit through a cable, one of which is the J4 on ezkit, the other is connnected to the Ethernet Hub (requires straight through cable),no to the PC,is it right?

And i have copied the uImage to the /tptboot, The showwing is as follows:

HIT any key to stop autoboot:0

Using Blackfin EMAC device

TFTP from server 192.168.0.2 ;our IP address is 192.168.0.15

Filename 'uImage'

Loading address:0x10000000

Loading:TTTTTTTT

Retry count exceeded;starting again

if u-boot isnt responding to input, verify your serial cable is correct and the serial switches are configured properly

I think the serial cable is correct, as i have exam its through a small program, and the UART enable set  SW4 is 1010, the target is bf537-ezkit, is that set right?

Another question: the uImage is complied from bf537-stamp,because when i was compiling the uClinux for bf537-ezkit,it cannot select the target for bf537-ezkit,is that OK?

Last question: the cable for connecting is :one end is the j4 on the target ,and the other is hub ,is it right?

the stamp and ezkit are the same hardware, so it'd be pointless to make releases of the same file

i dont know what cable/j4/hub thing you're talking about

Connect one end of a Ethernet cable to J4 of the ezkit board, and the other end to either a PC (requires cross over cable) or a Ethernet Hub (requires straight through cable)?

Another question: when my uboot start boot,it loads uImage directly through TFTP,then comes up that question: Retry count

exceeded:starting again.and i cannot load load uImage through the uboot command, and the "bf537>"doesn't  come up?!

Hi,when my uboot load uImage through tftp,it shows:

TFTP from server 192.168.0.2 ;our IP address is 192.168..0.15 ;MAC:B6:83:76:36:17:07

and through "ifconfig " ,it shows :

HWaddr 00:07:E9:63:0C:9A

inet addr:10.99.10.92   ,is this our TFTP server's ip address? And two tftp server's ip address are not same ,is it the reason that question that retry count exceeded? How can i set the tftp server's ip address?Because i cannot come into the uboot command,so i cannot set the serverip through the command"setenv"

the ethernet cable has nothing to do with the serial port.  every time it has come up in the past where people could see output but not interact with it was due to cable and/or hardware misconfiguration.  you need to doubly check the switches and jumpers on the board.  like JP9.

the Blackfin board tells you info about itself.  the MAC addresses of other machines are irrelevant.  IP<->MAC binding is obtained by the normal ARP method.

The JP9 is not populated,and the SW4 is: CTS/RTS:OFF;        RX/TX:ON

And isn't there wrong the ip address? Sorry i cannot understand your meaning

What do you mean by:

>Because i cannot come into the uboot command,so i cannot set the serverip through the command"setenv"

You should be able to control-C while tftp, and set the proper IP numbers.
