I am using WIGGLER JTAG which can write nor flash on my board.

I read the content in   http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=toolchain:debug:gdbproxy&s[]=gdbproxy

When I run bfin-gdbproxy bfin on my fedora7 , it gave error as following

[root@localhost ~]# bfin-gdbproxy bfin

Remote proxy for GDB, v0.7.2, Copyright (C) 1999 Quality Quorum Inc.

Unknown cable type: gnICE

error:     bfin: cable initialization failed

Something wrong?

if you arent using the default gnICE, you need to specify the cable you are using.  use the --connect option.  read the --help output for more information.

Hi, Mike,  As you told me ,  I run bfin-gdbproxy  --help, got the following

[root@localhost ~]# bfin-gdbproxy --help

This is GDBproxy - a remote proxy for the GNU debugger, GDB.

Usage:

  bfin-gdbproxy [options] [target [target-options] [target-args]]

Options:

--quiet            do not print help on startup

  --copying          print copying information

  --daemon           run it as daemon

--debug            run bfin-gdbproxy in debug mode

--help             `bfin-gdbproxy --help' prints this message

`bfin-gdbproxy --help target' prints target's help

  --port=PORT        use specified port

  --version          print version

  --warranty         print warranty information

Supported targets:

  bfin                 Blackfin JTAG target

extended-remote      proxy target implementing extended gdb serial protocol

remote               proxy target implementing gdb serial protoc

You can see as above, there in no --connect option,  Iand I try the following command

[root@localhost ~]# bfin-gdbproxy --connect IGLOO bfin

bfin-gdbproxy: unrecognized option `--connect'

Use `bfin-gdbproxy --help' to see a complete list of options

Can you tell me how to do?

--connect is a bfin target specific option.  thus it needs to come after the target name.
