I read http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=bootloaders:u-boot:debugging   then I did  as described

But there was something wrong,

[root@localhost u-boot-BF536_UART0]# bfin-elf-gcc -nostartfiles init.S cpu/blackfin/initcode.o -o init.elf -Iinclude -D__ASSEMBLY__ -mcpu=bf536

[root@localhost u-boot-BF536_UART0]# bfin-elf-gdb ./u-bootGNU gdb 6.6

This GDB was configured as "--host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --target=bfin-elf"...

(gdb) load init.elf

You can't do that when your target is `exec'

(gdb)

Why Cann't I load init.elf?

Hi, Mike ,Thank you for your quick replying

As you mean , I should do sth before load init.elf,  but I cann't find related describtion in http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=bootloaders:u-boot:debugging

Would you like telling me how to connect to my target before  load init.elf ?
