2008-04-24 08:57:47     Who to add two arguments in single variable

Miquel Soler i Mir (SPAIN)

Message: 54860    Hello.

I'm trying to modifier the uboot variables. My problem is when I try to set two variables at the same time:

For exemple:

set tftp1 tftp 0x1000000 uImage; bootm 0x1000000

The system store me the first part and execute the second argument.

Who I can store the two variable?

Who I can do this?

Thanks.

Message: 54864    Two options

Option 1

  Quote it..

uboot> set tftp1 ' tftp 0x1000000 uImage; bootm 0x1000000 '

notice the two ' quotes

Option 2

escape it

uboot> set tftp1 tftp 0x1000000 uImage\; bootm \$(loadaddr)

Use the "\" as an escape

NOTE that I have also shown you how to escape a variable

that will be evaluated at run time.

This should help you.
