2008-04-18 09:11:12     U-boot 1.1.6 on CM-BF537E doesn't run

Message: 54481    Hi,

Im testing U-boot 1.1.6 (http://blackfin.uclinux.org/gf/download/frsrelease/377/4184/u-boot-1.1.6-CMBF537E.bin) on a CM-BF537E (on EVAL) board. When I upload the file and try to run it (using 'go'), it just hangs.

(I also tried the svn version (trunk) and built the cm-bf537e_config variant, and I got the same thing)

Any suggestions?

Message: 54482    Are you sure the load address is equal to 0x00?

Try "print loadaddr" and use that value in the loadb command.

(I'm not an expert, so I'm not sure this will solve the problem).

Message: 54494    do a:

icache off

dcache off

before doing the go, and see if that helps. (old U-Boots have a problem starting new ones).

Message: 54498    that u-boot image is not supported by us.  any files found in the bluetechnix group are supported by the bluetechnix peeople.

you should be testing the files that are found in the u-boot project.

Message: 54601    Ok,

setting icache and dcache to off did the trick. I can do "go" and get the 1.1.6 version u-boot for CM-BF537E running.

Thanks,

Roger
