Kernel can not wake up from interrupt of ethernet.

Both 09r1 release and trunk failed.

You might have noticed that write enabled to /sys/class/net/eth0/power/wakeup

did not succeed.

This is on purpose - so far we entirely shut down the Ethernet device on

suspend, to avoid DMA descriptor chain overflows while the core is in sleep and

cant service the EMAC interrupts.

 

By any means if this is about 'Magic Packet Detection' a regular ping is the

wrong thing to-do.

 

This bug is rejected.

In case we need 'Magic Packet Detection' open a task tracker item, to

investigate 'Magic Packet Detection' with wakeup from sleep capabilities.
