Summary: Linphone: Can't hear each other and "Data access misaligned address violation"

Details:

 

Using linphone, when A call B, both A and B can hear the ring(this shows alsa works). But after B answers A, A and B can't hear each other.

And in the process, I saw another problem as misaligned memory access, the log is like

linphonec> Data access misaligned address violation

For the issue "Can't hear each other", it comes from the reason:

linphone needs the system has a router, so after setting the IP address, we can

add a default gateway by command like “route add -net default gw

gw_ip_addr”. Else, when linphone is running, there will be warnings like

linphonec> DEBUG: [get_output_if] connect: Network is unreachable

Could not reach destination.

And linphone will work not normally and the talkers can't hear each other.

 

For the issue of misaligned address violation, it can happen randomly with

unstable network cable connection, here get another several logs:

If network cable disconnects accidentally after the target board answers the

call, it is easy to repeat this problem.

After using a good network cable and keep the connection stable, the crash still

happens. Usually the crash happens at the first time "answer" call

from the PC after rebooting the board.

And we also replace the ad1836 by ad1980, the crash still happens using ad1980

What is at /lib/libc.so.0 + 0x330ea?

 

It is likely that libosipparser2.so is making a call to the C library, with a

unaligned pointer.

 

Loading things up in gdb, and getting a backtrace should be able to tell you

this.

 

Since only you have your libraries - only you can figure this out.
