Summary: backspace does not work properly on bf533-stamp

Details:

using the default configs by doing:

make AnalogDevices/BF533-STAMP_defconfig

when i boot up the system and type say:

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

and then i hit backspace for each character, some of the backspaces do not actually back up the cursor

for example, as i back up, i may get something like:

abcdefghijklmnopqrs<space>[cursor]

instead of:

abcdefghijklmnopqrs[cursor]

and after i delete all the characters, i end up with:

root:/> abcd[cursor]

even though there actually arent any characters left in the command line buffer

Can't replicate on SVN trunk v4769.

very latest trunk seems OK, and we've had serial fixes since, so close it out
