post the config.log file as an attachment ... the output from configure itself

is generally useless

A syntax error, now was fixed.

it isnt a syntax error ... it's a bashism and i'm guessing you guys are running

on Ubuntu where /bin/sh points to dash

I have modified it to:

diff -u $0 $0 > /dev/null 2>&1
