Hello world,

I want to use AD73322 codec  for customised BF531 board !

How can I record a file that will be played through the same codec?

Inorder to play mp3 through file through AD73222,what should be done?

There are various applications you can use to capture/playback audio.  You can use vrec/vplay to record/playback audio file. For mp3 file, use mp3play.  Applications like vrec/vplay, mp3play mentioned above can be enabled in Customize Application/Library Settings -> Miscellaneous Applications -> Audio tools

Thanks Aaron,

Once I have set AD73322 as my default codec, can I use any application from the audio tool section?

I do need simultaneous playing and recording to be done, is it possible? Whatever I have played and i need to record the same file and analyse it!

For your first question, yes, The audio application operates on the /dev/snd or /dev/dsp, which is defined by the standard audio framework. and our driver support it. For your second question you can check the help for the specific audio tool you plan to use, most of the codec chips and codec driver itself support the capure/playing at the same time.
