I am hoping someone can teach me how to fish (so to speak) so I can go off and actually figure out what is wrong.

 

I am thinking that the code I am debugging is trying to take too much memory.  Could someone walk me through this dump?  Blackfin is relatively new to me.

that OOM dump is common code.  you should be using 2010R1, and then you can enable the MPU to get memory protection and prevent apps from corrupting the kernel.
