I have a BF-533 Stamp board that's been sitting in a box for several years. I recently dug it out for a project and have been in the process of updating the firmware. I have updated u-boot with no problem. However, I am not able to update the uClinux dist. to uImage-BF533-STAMP-2010R1-RC5. I can download to ram and execute the code just fine. However, I am not able to burn it into flash. It appears that the file size exceeds the available flash. Am I missing something obvious or does this release not really fit in the bf-533-stamp?

our default images probably are too large to fit into flash

Thanks for the reply and sanity check Mike. I'll look at doing a stripped-down build to reduce the footprint.

disable the CONFIG_INSTALL_ELF_SHARED_LIBS option and that should get you down pretty quickly

otherwise, kill CONFIG_LIB_NCURSES and CONFIG_USER_JPEGVIEW_JPEGVIEW and CONFIG_LIB_LIBPNG and CONFIG_LIB_LIBJPEG

Mike,

Thanks for the great help, again! That information is going to save me countless hours of trial and error testing to find the best stuff to put in the "don't need" column.
