Hello world,

The uclinux distribution 2009 version has no option for selecting BF531 !

How can I get the uclinux support  for BF531? In BF531, I have only one UART interface.

I want to use the UART interface for connecting a modem. But if I do it, then I think I may not be able to use the UART interface for console. What are the other options through which I can see the debug messages?

i dont know where you're looking.  BF531 has been supported for many years at this point.  you really need to describe your problems with real details if you want support.

use the SPORT/UART driver to turn one of the SPORTs into a UART:

Hello Mike,

I was looking in the path uClinux-dist/linux-2.6.x/arch/blackfin and also searched in the path uClinux-dist/vendors/AnalogDevices for BF531

How can I select the BF531 option in the uclinux make config menu?

ADI doesnt make any 531 boards, so there wont be any uclinux-dist boards using it

processor selection is in the kernel menuconfig under Blackfin Processor options

@Andreas: I am using a customised board having BF531 as the processor

@Mike: I was aware that ADI doesnt make 531 boards, Since I was not able to find the option of selecting the BF531 processor,I was little bit worried for the support I would get for BF531. So then I need to add some files in the path uClinux-dist/vendors/AnalogDevices and uClinux-dist/linux-2.6.x/arch/blackfin, right ?

are you using an ADI board ?  no ?  then you shouldnt be touching vendors/AnalogDevices/.  create your own like the documentation says.

as for doing a linux board port, again please read the documentation
