Dear Sirs,

we're searching for a digital temperature sensore (on the i2c bus) to be used with BF537 and uClinux last release.

Could you suggest something that is well supported (driver and so on..)?

Best regards,

Daniele.

It's easy. Use the I2C driver only.

Message: 94077    I would first look for the device that fit your needs:

  www.analog.com/en/sensors/digital-temperature-sensors/products/index.html

Then check if there is a driver available.

We support a number of I2C temperature sensors in IIO.

See below:

linux-2.6.x/drivers/staging/iio/adc/Kconfig

config ADT75

tristate "Analog Devices ADT75 temperature sensor driver"

depends on I2C

help

Say yes here to build support for Analog Devices ADT75

temperature sensors.

config ADT7408

tristate "Analog Devices ADT7408 temperature sensor driver"

config ADT7410

tristate "Analog Devices ADT7410 temperature sensor driver"

config AD7291

config AD7414

tristate "Analog Devices AD7414 and AD7415 temperature sensor driver"

config AD7416

tristate "Analog Devices AD7416/7/8 temperature sensor and ADC driver"

Say yes here to build support for Analog Devices AD74167/8

temperature sensors and ADC.

There are also a number of ADI temperature sensors supported in HWMON:

linux-2.6.x/drivers/hwmon

Michael:

any chance ADI can support DS1624? It is Maxim/Dallas, but it is a unique part because it combines a temp sensor with 256 bytes of EEPROM, which is great for storing calibrations coefficients, a MAC number, hardware board revision, etc. It is a great part for embedded systems. Any chance ADI will develop the driver?

no.  ask Maxim for a driver.  there is 0 incentive for us to do this work.

buy an ADI sensor and we'll gladly write a driver for it.
