Hi,

I refer   docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=hw:cards:landscape_lcd_ez-extender and   docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=linux-kernel:drivers:bfin-lq035q1-fb to test LCD EZ-Extender on BF526ezbrd. The LCD just become to all white but didn't display any text.   But I loaded LCD_ColorBarDisplay dxe driver on VDSP , the LCD can display normally. Do I lose to do something ?

Hank

Please use the 2009R1.1 release other than the SVN head. The landscape LCD on bf526 hasn't be tested on SVN trunk.

Hi Sonic,

I used the 2009R1.1 and SVN trunk to test.  The results are the same.  The panel display all white.

The VDSP example and the Linux driver may need different jumper settings on the LCD extender card.

Hi Michael,

What does you mean "SPI LCD configuration interface is properly attached to the Display"?

The message"bfin-lq035q1: 320x240 16-bit RGB FrameBuffer initialized" is on dmesg. But LCD panel still all white.

I dump the /proc/gpio information as below.

Hi Michael,

I still can't let LCD display.

Do you have any idea?      Or can you give me a uImage have tested no problem to confirm my hardware?

Hank

I'm sure it's a jumper configuration issue - I'll build a Image and validate that the configuration in the documentation is right.

I bet your kernel startup messages include something like this:

"bfin-spi bfin-spi.0: chipselect 1 already in use"

You need to disable CONFIG_MTD_M25P80, because it uses the same SPISEL1 as the LCD Configuration interface.

Attached uImage works according to the documentation here:

   docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=hw:cards:landscape_lcd_ez-extender for the BF526-EZBRD

Hi Michael,

Just you mention.  I disable CONFIG_MTD_M25P80 , then LCD can display now.

Thank your help.
