Hi,

Is scratch pad memory from 0xFFB00000 to 0xFFB00FFF used in any of the kernel modules/code?

I am working on BF561 platform (2008R1 release) and would like to use this memory for performance optimisation of driver code. The driver code is statically built into the kernel. I would like to know if i can safely use scratch pad memory in my driver.

Thanks,

Supriya

read the documentation:

Thanks for the information Mike.

From the document we understand that first 8 bytes of scratch pad memory is reserved.

In our driver we tried declaring a pointer to 0xffb00008,after we run core A we find that the value from 0xffb00000 to 0xffb006ff keeps changing.

So we are wondering if this memory range is being used by any other kernel code.

Thanks,

Supriya
