I have hooked one eval board up to BF526 ezbrd sport1 on P4 connector. I have changed the sport setting from sport0 to 1 and added support in board/ezbrd.c.

i2c gets registered but no sport pins are allocated and I dont get a /dev/dsp device.

what am i missing?

attached my ezbrd.c board file

Nope - it should be similar to the other audio codecs. Someone will write something next week.

We haven't run and test the adau1761 driver on real hardware, because there is no available firmware. Because we are not sure if the driver works, there is no doc yet.

Anyway, we can write a document, but we don't ensure your adau1761 run properly following the steps.

Hi Robiin and Sonic!

I guess I am getting closer. See my modprobe result. Looks like the format of my firmwarefile is wrong. I have looked at other firmware files for other shipsets. They are all in Intel hex format. Shall 'adau1761.bin' firmware also bee in Intel hex format? Will it be linked into the driver or shall it be available in the romfs?

The bin file is binary data - not an Intel hex.

Hi Robin!

Output files from SigmaStudio are all .dat or .hex files. Do you have a program to convert one of these to binary?

Bug the SigmaStudio guys - since we are not customers, they don't care much for our requests. You might be able to prod them to do things faster.
