Hi all,

I am working on uClinux, I have build the image and booted that on the blackfin board every thing is working fine.

Now I developed GUI application using QT with touch screen support.

In order to make this application work I followed following steps

I set the environment variables in /etc/profile file. And booted the kernel.

I launched the application manually from the shell prompt.

i.e. root/> QtApp –qws

Everything worked fine.

Now I am trying to launch an application automatically after bootup, I followed following steps

1.       I set the environment variables in /etc/profile file.

2.       I made an entry in /etc/inittab file to launch this application at the startup and booted the kernel.

The application is coming up but touch screen is not working.

What might be the problem? I searched through forums regarding this but I did not get any help.

Maybe you start the application too early...

inittab really should be used to start /etc/init.d/rcS

If using the SySV style of runlevels that will start a lot of scripts in /etc/rc?.d

That is where you can start you application best since you have maximum control at what time it should start

Thank for your time Michel,

Problem is solved, The problem was with shell, by default i was using msh provided by busybox, which was not executing the scripts, now i changed the shell to hash, its working now.
