Hi,

I built the kernel with uClinux-dist-2009R1.5, i enabled "Common Sport Test" problem is i am not able to access the Sport,

Once the kernel is up, i loaded  bfin_sport module, after that i could find sport0 and sport1 in /dev directory,

but i have probems while running the sport test.

the log is ,

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

root/>modprobe bfin_sport

root/>sport_test -t sample.wav

Peripheral_request: peripheral 31 function is already reserved by bfin_mac! Requesting peripherals failed

to open dev/sport0

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I disabled bfin_mac in menuconfig and rebuilt the kernel but after this the log is

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

root/>modprobe bfin_sport

root/>sport_test -t sample.wav

Peripheral_request: peripheral 31 function is already reserved by bfin_spi! Requesting peripherals failed

to open dev/sport0

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After this i disabled bfin_spi also, but now the problem is if i try to run the sport_test the system resets after some time and it did not give any error message.

I changed sport0 to sport1in sport_test code the log was this

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

root/>modprobe bfin_sport

root/>sport_test -t sample.wav

Peripheral_request: peripheral 31 function is already reserved by bfin_UART! Requesting peripherals failed

to open dev/sport1

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I tried sending to sport directly like this,

root/>echo 123 > /dev/sport0

even now the system resets.

what will be the problem, how can i access the SPORT, please help.

thanks

Vinay,

Can you attach your kernel configuration file here?
