I'm finally upgrading to the latest versions of toolchain and kernel. I installed blackfin-toolchain-09r1-10.i386.rpm and blackfin-toolchain-uclibc-default-09r1-10.i386.rpm on my new Suse 11.2 system. Then I downloaded and unpacked uClinux-dist-2009R1-RC6.tar.bz2. I created a new subdirectory in the AnalogDevice directory for my board and copied the files from the BF561-EZKIT directory. Then executed make menuconfig, selected the correct vendor and board. No other modifications, just opening the config and saving the defaults for now. Then tried to compile the Kernel and got following error when compiling flashw.c

bfin-uclinux-gcc -pipe -Wall -g -O2      -mcpu=bf561-0.5 -DEMBED -D__uClinux__ -I/home/FVA/XT100G2/build/uClinux-dist  -mcpu=bf561-0.5  -c -o flashw.o flashw.c

make[1]: *** [all] Error 2

make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/FVA/XT100G2/build/uClinux-dist/user'

make: *** [subdirs] Error 1

I get this error for autoconf.h but the file exists. What am I missing here ?

do you actually need the user/flashw/ utils ?  if not, i'd disable them.
