We need to read the LM75 temperature sensor attached to BF537 I2C bus, we run the uClinux dsitribution 2008R1.5-RC3

Reading so far leads me to believe that the solution would involve the hw_mon driver - right?

This would need support for the particular devices I will read (the LM75)

make menuconfig has options to

"Enable lm_sensor_tools"

"sensors"

Under the "LM SENSORS" section

I enable these two, make clean and make but fail with

/opt/uClinux/bfin-uclinux/lib/gcc/bfin-uclinux/4.1.2/../../../../bfin-uclinux/bin/ld.real: BFD 2.17 assertion fail /usr/src/packages/BUILD/binutils-2.17/bfd/elf32-bfin.c:5180

Before pursuing this further is this the correct approach to reading the temperature sensor on the board?

Has anyone have a working example?

if you want to read sensors under Linux, then lm_sensors is the way to go
