Hugo Elias (UNITED KINGDOM)
I'm interested in integrating a Blackfin board running uClinux into our robot hand project ( www.shadowrobot.com). But I have one quick question for which I haven't been able to find the answer.
The board I'm interested in (TCM - BF537) only has 8MB of Flash, but we need much more. I assume that if I wire in an SSD card, then uClinux will be able to make use of it, I.E. mount it as a drive etc? Is this correct.
Many thanks in advance. I look forward to trying my first Blackfin board soon.

Many people are running uClinux on the TCM-BF537. - the size of the flash depends on the size of the apps you want to load. but to answer your question - yes -- if you wire in an SSD card (either over SPI or GPIO) the kernel can mount it, and load/save files from it.
