Hi all,

I've compiled release 2008R1.5-RC3 with the following enabled:

    Vendor: Analog Devices

    ADI Products: BF537-STAMP

    Xenomai

Everything else is left at the original default settings.

Immediately after booting (nothing else is running), top reports the following:

Mem: 13616K used, 41372K free, 0K shrd, 0K buff, 9320K cached

Load average: 0.99 0.82 0.42

PID USER     STATUS   VSZ  PPID %CPU %MEM COMMAND

  122 root     SW<        0     2 99.8  0.0 IRQ 26

  144 root     S        580     1  0.0  1.0 sh

Is this correct, should IRQ 26 be consuming 99.8% of the CPU?  I noticed a SW< for the status, which indicates that it is sleeping, swapped out, and not nice.

Many thanks in advance.

Dan

I think that is expected - IRQ 26 should be IRQ TIMER0  for BF537, which is system timer tick. The kernel handles IRQs in a kernel thread (pid 122). Default HZ is 250, so the CPU usage is very high.
