I have installed all the files given in documentation. my PC ip adress is 10.7.100.9 and for the STAMP its 10.7.100.214. when I Ping 10.7.100.9 i received a reply as Host is active but when in ftp STAMP from the PC I get the error message as no route to host, can anyone help please?

I am new to this stuff.. thank you

Can you try to run ftp on a PC to check whether your ftp server is OK? Is there any firewall enabled on your Suse?

Hi, thanks for the post, I tested the ftp on the PC and it works fine, I have also disabled the firewall just in case, but there is no luck.

Jithender:

There are some basic networking troubleshooting at:

https://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=setting_up_the_network#troubleshooting_network_problems

Did you try those?

If security is a consideration and you want to use ssh, you may use dropbear and please refer to :   docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=uclinux-dist:dropbear.

If you just want to transfer files, tftp or rcp should be ok.

But I don't know how to fix your ftp problem since I don't have a Suse system.
