Did you modify any of the makefiles?

You are missing a linux-2.6.x in the path. is this file there?

./linux-2.6.x/scripts/gen_initramfs_list.sh

Hello Robin,

I didn't modify any makefiles.  But, I was maintaining two kernel directories, one is linux-2.6.x latest one and the other is linux-2.6.x.old little old version. I have selected the old kernel directory in "make menuconfig". Won't this selection replace all references of linux-2.6.x to linux-2.6.x.old?

Thank you.

Regards,

Parimala

Nope - I don't think so.

The best thing to do is move things around with symlinks.
