Hi,

I am working with 2008R1.5 distribution and the u-boot trunk version, using the BF527 ezkit board

I have enabled the profile = 2 option in the bootargs as specified in the document

docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=kernel_profiling

in the configs/bfin_adi_common.h file

#define CONFIG_BOOTARGS \

        "root=/dev/mtdblock0 rw " \

        "profile = 2 " \

        "earlyprintk=serial,uart" MK_STR(CONFIG_UART_CONSOLE) "," MK_STR(CONFIG_BAUDRATE) " " \

        CONFIG_BOOTARGS_VIDEO \

        "console=ttyBF0," MK_STR(CONFIG_BAUDRATE)

when i issue the command as below i get the following error.

root:/> cat proc/profile

cat: proc/profile: No such file or directory

Please help me how to do the kernel profiling.

Best Regards, Sreedhar

the document said "profile=2", not "profile = 2".  whitespace is significant.

why are you recompiling u-boot ?  u-boot has a dynamic environment, so just set it on the baord.
