Hi guys,

by the way,

i want to use a small ramdisk for my temporary files...

I have used the RAMDISK driver and see 16 devices in /dev like ram0, ram1, ram2, .....

If i use "mount /dev/ram1 /mnt/" it fails.

How i can use this ramdisks?

Greets,

Patrick

ramdisks work exactly the same as your desktop.  they're chunks of ram.  which means they arent filesystems by default you can simply mount.  you need to format them first with standard utilities.

or just use ramfs/tmpfs and avoid ramdisks completely.
