Hi,

I checked out the head of the repositories of toolchain, u-boot, uclinux-dist, and linux-kernel today (revision 3256, 1701, 7888, 6173, respectively). After successfully building the toolchain, I got the following errors when building uclinux-dist (select BF548-EZKIT as target, choose default on everything else):

drivers/char/bfin_ppi.c:153:2: error: #elif without #if

drivers/char/bfin_ppi.c:156:2: error: #endif without #if

I took a look at the file. The #elif does seem to miss the matching #if.

Should I revert to an earlier revision (like 7745 as it led to the recent alpha release) or did I miss something? If I need to revert to an earlier revision, how do I extract the right revision info about the linux-kernel leading to the particular alpha build (and the right revisions of toolchain, u-boot if necessary)?

Thanks,

Dong

Thanks! Now more ...

../../../alsa-lib-1.0.18/src/mixer/simple_abst.c: In function 'try_open':

../../../alsa-lib-1.0.18/src/mixer/simple_abst.c:82: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once

../../../alsa-lib-1.0.18/src/mixer/simple_abst.c:82: error: for each function it appears in.)

../../../alsa-lib-1.0.18/src/mixer/simple_abst.c: In function 'try_open_full':

../../../alsa-lib-1.0.18/src/mixer/simple_abst.c:129: error: 'RTLD_NOW' undeclared (first use in this function)

../../../alsa-lib-1.0.18/src/mixer/simple_abst.c:129: error: 'RTLD_GLOBAL' undeclared (first use in this function)

Would appreciate it if someone can enlighten on how to get the revision info for all the components that lead to a known and recent release.

Regards,

Dong

that is a different issue.  in the future, you should post a new thread for a new issue.

alsa-lib does not work with FLAT format.  use FDPIC if you want alsa.
