the compilation  of packages in my uclinux dist. takes place like this

bfin-linux-uclibc-gcc -pipe -Wall -g -O2

i want Os cos i want it to be optimised and i don't want 'g' cos i dont want any debugging info....

i have removed the kernel debug option from kernel settings....

Where are the settings for these??

removing -g is pointless. the binaries are automatically stripped when installed into the romfs dir.

all -O* options result in optimization.  you probably meant "optimized for size" rather than the default "optimized for speed".  change the default flags in the vendor/user settings under the Blackfin build options.

-Os is the main one, otherwise there's `man gcc`
