Dear all,

I am using 2008R1.5 release and i had enabled SPI_MMC driver for my BF561 based custom board.

the driver will consistenly detect the 32MB cannon sdcard and all other sdcards ( Trenscend -512MB , ScanDisk - 256MB, 2GB) are detected inconsistently.

Let me know your suggestion to resolve the inconsistency of detection in Trenscend and ScanDisk sdcards.

Regards, Senthil

With the info you have given - it could be anything from a software bug to a hardware issue. Can you be a little more descriptive? Do any errors print out when you enable debugging?

Hi Robin,

Thanks for the reply,

I had enable SPI_MMC driver in MMC/SD card driver with the following configuration.

   ---   MMC/SD Card Drivers                                                                   │ │

  │ │                      [*]   MMC block device driver                                                               │ │

  │ │                      ---   MMC/SD Host Controller Drivers                                                        │ │

  │ │                      [*]   MMC/SD for SPI support (EXPERIMENTAL)                                                 │ │

  │ │                              SPI driver (Blackfin SPI bus directly)  --->                                        │ │

  │ │                      (2)     SPI chip select signal for MMC/SD card                                              │ │

  │ │                      (20000000) SPI clock limit for MMC/SD transfers                                             │ │

  │ │                      [*]     MMC/SD Card detect support (EXPERIMENTAL)                                           │ │

  │ │                      (55)      IRQ# for card detection                                                           │ │

  │ │                                                                                                                  │ │

Case 1: Cannon SDcard

i can able to detect this sdcard consistently i.e after power on board and also pressing the reset button in my BF561 custom board.

Case 2 : ScanDisk and Transcend

Step1 : For these sdcard, i cant able to detect sdcard during booting of uImage after i power on board.

bfin-spi bfin-spi.0: Blackfin BF5xx on-chip SPI Contoller Driver, Version 1.0, regs_base@ffc00500, dma channel@16

mmc_pio_spi:cs_#: 0x2, baud=0x0, flag=0xff00, ctrl=0x400

spi_mmc: configure for card detection

No IRQF_TRIGGER set_type function for IRQ 55 (<NULL>)

Step2 : But these sdcards are detected by reseting my board after doing the above step.

bfin-spi bfin-spi.0: Blackfin BF5xx on-chip SPI Contoller Driver, Version 1.0, regs_base@ffc00500, dma channel@16

mmc_pio_spi:cs_#: 0x2, baud=0x0, flag=0xff00, ctrl=0x400

spi_mmc: configure for card detection

No IRQF_TRIGGER set_type function for IRQ 55 (<NULL>)

New MMC/SD card found: 241 MB(252968960 bytes)

spi_mmc: unknown partition table

Also i amnt getting any printf messages after enabling debugging

Regards, Senthil

Please try the 2008R1 branch head in SVN. A bug fixing for SPI-MMD was checked in. This may help your problem.

Hi Zhang,

Thanks for your suggestion.

I tried to find the fix mentioned by you, but I could not able to find the fix.

Let me know the exact path where that fix is posted.
