Hi! I'm working in a project and I need to work with the wm8731 codec under  Uclinux.

 

Anyone has tryed to develop this driver  anytime???

 

If I doesn't found anything i think that I will develop the alsa driver.

there is no working driver and there are no plans to develop one.  you'll have to ask the wolfson guys for one if it doesnt already exist.

There is a driver for the SSM2602. Have a look at that.

I've read in a old post that mike answers :

 

 

 

as i said, that release did not support the wm8731.  the driver in the release did not actually work.

 

the ssm2602 works fine and is supported.  but it is not a wolfsom codec driver, it is for the ADI part.

 

 

 

How well it works this alsa driver? It supports reproduction and record of sounds?

if the hardware can do it, then the driver should support it.  if it doesnt, it's a bug we need to fix.
