I have a BF548 and a logitech quickcam 9000 camera. I have follwed the isntructions provided in the wiki that says both of these devices should work together. Everything seems to work fine. I get exactly the same output that they do in the wiki. However, when when luvcview starts I only get a blank screen, although the camera's red led is on. When I try mplayer I only get static. I have plugged the camera into the usb otg port via the provided cable. Is this correct? Do I need to enable some jumper, or use a different port?

Thanks!

In folder:

Attach created bugreport.tgz file and send the entire kernel startup and command messages.

Can you use attached Linux .config (copy this file to linux-2.6.x/.config)

I think your v4l2 settings were wrong.

The driver works for me.

Hey Michael,

I tried with your config, but I am still getting the same error. SDL initializes and the mouse appears. Then after a second the camera light turns on, but then nothing happens. No errors, no messges, nothing. Would it be too much to ask you to post your uImage.initramfs so I can be sure wether or not it is a hardware or software issue? I can give you the link to my ftp site if you like.

Thanks for the help so far, I appreciate it

I have been using the 2_6_26 uImage you gave me, and I have been getting the same results. Everything looks exactly like it does on your forum posts, but I end up with a blank screen with a mouse. During one of about 30 runs I did manage to actually get a single frame, but then it froze. I then hit ctrl-c and after a few min I get this error:

Quit signal received.

Unable to dequeue buffer: Input/output error

Error grabbing

Cleanup done. Exiting ...

Here is the error I get from dmesg:

musb_host_rx 1550: Rx interrupt with no errors or packet!

I looked into the musb driver and this is a protocol error. Again, I am plugging the camera into the USB OTG port b/c the mini-usb port seems to be only for debugging. Is there some jumper or board setting that I have to have in order to get USB OTG to behave like a regular usb device? Is there perhaps something in uboot that needs to be enabled for this to work? I am using your kernel/filesystem so the issue must be either on the board or in u-boot?

Hardware:

EZ-KIT LITE Rev 1.3 BOM 1.7

ADSP-BF548 * BBCZ-5X

How do I know when the HID device is detected? Can you post what the dmesg should look like?

Thanks!

Omar,

you have pretty much the same board than I test with:

>How do I know when the HID device is detected? Can you post what the dmesg should look like?

input: UVC Camera (046d:0990) as /class/input/input1

Yes, I get that message. If I do not, then /dev/video0 is not created, but that does not happen very often. Do you get the error I posted?

musb_host_rx 1550: Rx interrupt with no errors or packet!

This error is leading me to believe that my issue has something to do with a switch/jumper that is making the USB OTG behave differently then yours. Did you change anything from the stock board?

Sorry to be such a bother, but this is killing me

No I don't get this error in particular.

Does other USB stuff work for you - try USB Mass Storage etc. ...?

I just hooked up a usb stick and everything worked fine. I was able to read/write. I did notice that when I used the latest u-boot my ethernet stoppped working. That is why I would like to use the same u-boot you are using, other then hardware, that is the only difference between our boards. Could you post your u-boot, or just tell me what version it is?

Thanks for all the help, sorry this is such a hassle

don't know from top of my head.

Just a guess -

check u-boot.1.1.6 two months ago ...

Will check latest u-boot and see if it makes a difference for me - however I don't think so.

Did u-boot ever work? Do you have any other ideas?
