2008-10-09 09:52:25 Partial success with serial-console output.
Thomas Langås (NORWAY)
Ok, so now I've reached to point where I get output from the console after the serial-driver is loaded, but I don't get anything from earlier, even though my bootargs contains the earlyprintk-stuff. The weird thing is that if I do the post-mortem search, only the console=-part of my commandline shows up, none of the root= or earlyprintk-stuff does.

What is supposed to be output after this? Only the root-prompt? Where should I begin to look if I don't get this?

everything after dma_alloc_init is userspace. make sure you have a shell actually launch on the console via init.
