I have asked the processor.tools.support team for the differences between these pcb revisions.

 

Find the answer at the end.

 

 

 

The relevant changes for the software are:

 

signal BR/JP11 (LCD_DAV) moved to UART2TX

 

signal BG/PJ12 (LCD_IRQ) moved to UART2RX

 

signal BGH/PJ13 (PPI1_SEL) moved to UART3RTS

 

 

 

The necessary changes in the software for LCD_DAV are described in

LCD_IRQ is used (not yet) for lightpens (?)

 

PPI1_SEL switches the multiplexer for the clocksource of PPI1 from internal 27MHz to external.

Here is the list of the changes between revisions 1.3B and 1.4B.

 

1.)Updated Values for resistor and caps for Rotary Circuit. Placed CAN

circuitry back into the design.

2.)SW14.1 is now UART2TX instead of BR/PJ11. Software will now need to

use GPIO PB4 of the BF548 to control LCD_DAV. This is per the updated

BF548 datasheet.

3.) SW14.2 is now UART2RX instead of BG/PJ12. Software will now need to

use GPIO PB5 of the BF548 to control LCD_IRQ. This is per the updated

BF548 datasheet.

4.) SW14.3 is now UART3RTS instead of BGH/PJ13. Software will now need

to use GPIO PB2 of the BF548 to control PPI1_SEL. This is per the

updated BF548 datasheet.

5.) U14.75 is now pin PD1. A 10K pull-down (R282) has been added. This

is per the updated LAN9218 datasheet.

6.) A 10K pull-down (R284) on MXI pin of BF548 (pin C2) was added. It

needs to be populated for the BF548 EZ-KIT and unpopulated for

Automotive (BF549 boards). This is per the BF548 datasheet.

7.) A 10K pull-up (R214) has been added to HOSTWAIT line. This is per

the updated BF548 datasheet.

8.) A 10K pull-up (R209) has been added to the ~BR line. This is per the

updated BF548 datasheet.

9.) An RC (R283 and C1870) have been added to ZP4.1. This is to filter

noise from an external emulator.

10.) A 10K pull-up (R201) has been added to the LCD_DAV line. This is in

case the signal requires it.

11.) A 10K pull-up (R202) has been added to the LCD_IRQ line. This is in

case the signal requires it.

12.) A 10K pull-down (R203) has been added to the LCD_DISP line. This is

in case the signal requires it.

13.) Added decoupling cap to U25. (C137) This was noticed missing.

14.) Added a 0 Ohm resistor (R205) to SPI0SEL1 line. This was done in

case someone wants to disconnect the SPI Flash and boot manually via the

expansion interface.

15.) U4 and U24 are now SN74CB3T16210 instead of the SN74CB3Q16244. The

old parts passed 5V thru to the Blackfin from the 5V hard drive. This

new part is a level translator and will send only a 3.3v signal even if

it is hit with a 5V input.

16.) Added R216, R226, R227, and R228 to allow these parts to be powered

by either 3.3V or 5V. The new parts require 3.3V but if we get into a

part availability issue there are some 5V parts that may also work. They

are pin for pin compatible with the existing new parts.

17.) C214 and C194 are now deleted as there is only 1 VCC pin per U4 or

U24.

18.) C195 and C244 are now not connected to 3V but to VCC pin of U4 of

U24.

19.) C197 and C250 are now connected to 5V instead of 3V.

Changed schematics to show MXVR more clearly.

Change series resistor on SCLK from 33 Ohms to 0 Ohms.
