Hi all,

i would like to use UART 2 and 3 with max. possible speed without handshake.

What baudrate is realistic ?

In ..\linux-2.6.x\arch\blackfin\mach-bf548\dma.c i found a dma-definition for UART 0 and 1 (Rx and Tx).

As far as i know UART 0 cant be used, why do we need dma ?

How can i enable dma for UART 2 and 3 ?

The file ..\linux-2.6.x\arch\blackfin\mach-bf548\boards\cm_bf548.c is not in use, right ?

I think there is a missing line:

[..]

#ifdef CONFIG_SERIAL_BFIN_UART2

    {

        .start = 0xFFC02100,

        .end = 0xFFC021FF,

        .flags = IORESOURCE_MEM,

    },

#endif

#ifdef CONFIG_SERIAL_BFIN_UART3

    {

        .start = 0xFFC03100,

        .end = 0xFFC031FF,

        .flags = IORESOURCE_MEM,                                     <- this line should be inserted

    },

#endif

[..]

I would like to use uClinux-dist-2008R1.5-RC3.

Klaus

UART DMA settings are controlled in the kernel configuration menu

UART0 can't be used on your board, but that doesn't mean on all board.
