I'd like to start working off the 2008R1.5 SVN branches so that I can easily integrate any bugfixes that are backported from trunk.
However, after following the instructions here:
I only see a branch for u-boot, not for the toolchain or uclinux-dist:
kyle@poseidon:~$ svn list svn://blackfin.uclinux.org/u-boot/branches | grep 08
kyle@poseidon:~$ svn list svn://blackfin.uclinux.org/toolchain/branches | grep 08
kyle@poseidon:~$ svn list svn://blackfin.uclinux.org/uclinux-dist/branches | grep 08
There is a R1.5 tag for uclinux-dist. Do you commit to tags at all? Should I be using those instead of the branches?

we follow standard svn policy: never commit to tags
as for the 2008R1.5 release, it's a little non-standard ... for most things, we just made another release from the 2008R1 branch (that's why this is 2008R1.5 and not 2008R2). we deemed u-boot to be good enough to make another release from trunk though rather than the branch (so it should have been 2008R2, but that'd be too confusing for people).
so to answer your question: use 2008R1 branch for everything but u-boot ... that has a dedicated 2008R1.5 branch
