Hi,

Going through the documentation, I found that kernel has the support for the standby code also. In my custom board before i switch the BF533 to standby i would like to perform some operations like turning display off of the LCD device etc.

and also the wakeup event is either the RTC or remote controller.

I want to switch from standby to On mode vice versa.

Can anyone tell me whether these things are possible by enabling the options for dynamic power management?, Any examples codes availabe in the kernel distribution or any sugegstions please.

Thanks and Best Regards,Sreedhar.

these steps are up to you to do in your own code.  the power framework only exposes these things to you in userspace.

Hi Mike,

Can you give me some idea how i can implement the standby code in linux.

I know how to do it in VDSP, i am not knowing how to start and implement the standby code, I need to wakeup the system using RTC and remote controller. these drivers i need to integrate into the standby code.

Can you please suggest me or provide some sample code for startup it will be very helpful for me.

Best Regards,Sreedhar.

Linux already supports standby mode ... the documentation explains how to do this:
