hi everyone , i'm a freshman here, i met the problem below:

my environments:

Tool Chain:

1)blackfin-toolchain-08R1-8.i386.rpm

2)blackfin-toolchain-uclibc-full-08r1-8.i386.rpmuClinux:  uClinux-dist-2008R1-RC8

uClinux:  uClinux-dist-2008R1-RC8

Host platform:  red hat 9.0

i succeed in compiling the u-BOOT

but when i compile the kernel,i followed the procedure listed in the docs, that is:

1)make clean

2)make menuconfig    ( followed every step in the docs http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=basic_compilation)

3)make

then after a few seconds,error shows :

No rule to make target `drivers/base/bf533', needed by `drivers/base/cpu.o'.  Stop

i looked up the source ,the file :  drivers/base/cpu.o do not exist, but cpu.c exist.

i don't think the kernel source has problems,because i don't change anything.please help

please only use the forum for your questions ... the mailing list is for development, not questions/support

a few people have hit the error you report, but it hasnt been tracked down except that everyone is using the old redhat distribution ... you should upgrade to a distribution that isnt ancient
