Message: 54955

The BF-54x NFC driver (bf5xx_nand.c) says:

* TODO:

*      Enable JFFS2 over NAND as rootfs

Why is this ?

Is there only testing involved or are specific features

missing from bf5xx_nand.c and/or jffs2 ?

(yaffs seems to support rootfs, so i guess it's only a matter

of testing or jffs2).

Btw. I have uClinux BF rel. 2008R1 (Date: Jan. 23, 2008)

Message: 54956    I didn't test the JFFS2 on NAND as a rootfs, so I wrote this TODO to log it.

Frankly speaking, JFFS2 is not a good choice for 256MB NAND system.

Thanks

Message: 55118    Thanks for your prompt reply. I was just being curious. Thanks for the advice also, indeed YAFFS seems to be the better choice (especially when performance matters).
