2008-04-03 12:48:53     git behind a firewall?

Jason Holden (UNITED STATES)

Message: 53610    Any plans for establishing a git mirror that is accessable from behind a firewall much like svn is doing with firewall-sources? Or is there some other workaround?

Message: 53611    use git+ssh and username anonymous ... then you can use the ssh server listening on port 443

otherwise, no ... we wont be supplanting svn listening on port 80 unless we transition to git as our main scm

Message: 53615    With that hint, I was able to start git clone from behind our firewall.  Thanks!
